A Second Chance?

Is there a second chance for salvation? Not exactly. However that is what some people call it. There is a second resurrection.

There is a chance for people who never had their first chance.

Christ said, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6) and "No man can come to me except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44). He will raise him up in the last day, at the last trump, incorruptible (1 Corinthians 15:50) during the first resurrection, to be a priest, ruling with Christ (Revelation 20:5) after having overcome (Revelation 2:26).

The words "...first resurrection..." are indicative of the fact that there has to be a second resurrection. "...the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished..." (Revelation 20:5).

The rest of the dead? Who are they? They are the billions who didn't have a chance to be converted, including many who never even heard the name Christ. Christ is the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

These billions will be raised up in physical bodies after the 1000 years to see what a wonderful world is possible under Christ's rule and will have the opportunity to accept Christ's sacrifice at that time and receive eternal life. However some will reject salvation and the battle of Gog and Magog will be fought (Revelation 20:8). For those who choose to fight on the side of Gog and Magog, the words "...you only live twice..." will certainly have been true.
