Are There Real Healers?
Healing is a fairly private matter, not a public relations gesture. True healers annoint the sick or disabled with oil and pray for the healing (James 5:14-15). Mark 7:32-36 shows a healing taking place that Christ performed. Christ advised them that they should tell no one about the healing (verse 36). It was a private matter. Christ was not showing off.
This is in contrast to the false "healers" of today who like to make their "healings" into a sideshow on television, throwing crutches into the air, playing to the crowd. The false healers have huge egos and seek to have people to follow them. There are consumer groups who have people who are truly disabled who are waiting to be healed. They send letters to the false healers and indicate they will endorse them if they will come forward and heal these people. The letters go unanswered. The healers will not rise to the occasion because most of them depend on confederates (people who pretend to be disabled and then pretend to be healed).
Some of the same will be true of the Antichrist. He will be performing lying wonders to deceive most of the population (2 Thessalonians 2:8-9).
Like a loving Father, God will answer prayers with a yes or a no. If he always answered yes, then all the graveyards would be empty and all the hospitals would be empty. God answers prayers according to his purpose.
We each have a lifetime during which we may qualify to be on the headquarters team in the coming 1000 years of peace. We should use that lifetime well.
